"Somethin' On Da Side"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LkTHJm0-DQ
Michael n Sandra
Once had a union like Michelle n Obama
Before da arguments came, da fussin' n da drama
Had a couple kids in da mix, later on
Marriage had followed this
Poor financially, but still they found happiness
In each other
More than lovers, first became best friends
Thought they were soul mates to da very end

Used to talk about everything
No one saw they attachment severing
Atlantic Starr
"Closer than close"
Closer than most
Every kiss, hug, n touch seemed so urgent
Grew "closer than friends", like Surface
Couldn't tell em' that this thing they had wasn't permanent
To some, what they had wasn't exactly encouragin'
But Michael n Sandra could care less
They did what they had to do n ignored da rest

They said, they would invest
In each other, they saw they bought out da best
In church
Tried to stay where "Jesus Walks" like Kanye West
They vowed to never part unless they were hit wit death
Their hearts were off da charts connected on a deeper depth
But stress is apart of life, you have to maintain

They stayed in an apartment n as they moved around
Things changed
Sandra was in school, tryna come up in da game
Michael had a string of jobs til' he found a trade
But no 2 days are da same
Through it all, they had their share of ups n downs but their love never went astray
But it got tested every way each day

As they grew in time
And situations changed down da line
It was obvious their minds became separate
Different median's
Years ago Michael couldn't picture Sandra leavin' him
Somethin' on da side got inside both of dem' n started taring apart each of them
Before you know it, thin line of love n hate
They started teeterin'

They had each other back
Tried to continue on after that
But lies became intertwined wit da facts
Creepin' at a high max
You could see da tracks of Sandra tears
Severely trampled wit her fears
Michael knew da truth, as well as his own indiscretion's
After they departed, both learned some hard lessons
Though, left wit unanswered questions
And what seemed destined
God provide's each with a message

If anything had became of this debacle, it was da children were a supreme blessin'
Anything worth having, Michael n Sandra knew they had to work at it
Just not together like knitted sweaters
Even though, both were torn by temptations sewed in da fabric
Another love story gone tragic
No oath is strong unless God, trust, communication, n loyalty is purely solid
Dismantled "Two Hearts" like Phil Collins
Tried to pick up da pieces, fix what slid in between da crease's
But it was too late!, damage was done what they strive to build crumbled couldn't hold da weight
Somethin' on da side among all, which is truly Common
"Nobody's Smilin"
At least Michael n Sandra had da good sense to dissipate before it got more violent
