"BROKEN"

A select few were sent out to speak da gospel like Jesus twelve apostles
Well, after His resurrection minus backstabbers like Judas datz eleven
Seems times haven't changed, we still feel our backs bombarded wit weapons
Want answers, but still asking da wrong questions
My neck of da woods is far from heaven
Mesmerized by her essence
Was once soul partners
Engaged in between those dat slaughter n lauter
Ill will feelings harbored, never forgotten
Eye was picked apart by her broken gospel
Even tho we dug each other like fossils
Opposites attract, it's theological
With God, nothing is impossible!
I can remember our last supper
Eager to eat
Tired!
Things become different n all you want is release
Oddly enough, we were destined to meet
Vows thru speech
Met up at da alter years ago, we broke more den bread on deez sheetz
Love was da pillar we consecrated our beliefs
But in da field of battle, can't expect there not to be any heat
Short-term temptation is sweet!
But in da long run causes both resentment, anger, n grief
A nigerian nightmare comin' at cha like Christian Okoye runnin' ova cats wit cleats
Not nearly as many indians, now so many wanna be chiefs
Epiphanies are discovered where as before dey never were reached
Sometimes you wish you could hit a button on ya mind
Instead of pressin' rewind n just hit delete
Deez are lessons in life we are forced to learn from n not to repeat
Some bonds are cemented after broken or left discrete
Moments awkward n brief
But da respect between two eyez should remain in view within da pupil n teach
